Today was a better day
Slept in some this morning, the rest was well-needed. Got up and made my budget for this pay period. Wrote and addressed all the checks needing to be mailed. Gamma suggested watching a movie so we put in 'The Help.; Loved the book, and the movie =). Cooked a olive oil, garlic and thyme marinated pork loin with Stove Top cranberry dressing with some chopped walnuts thrown it, and green beans. Had a glass of our local winery's muscadine juice with it. So yummy. Read some of my new book 'One for the Money,' soon to be a movie with Katherine Heigl. Took a nap. Texted Taylor and made plans to go to WalMart once Will's check was deposited. Went and got some groceries for my Gamma, along with a few more Christmas presents, and stuff for a care package for Will. 3 magazines (Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, and CQ), a book by Stephen King (Bag of Bones I believe?), and a bunch of goodies. Stuff to mix with water, Jolly Ranchers, Christmas boxes of Gobstoppers, Skittles, and Dots, 2 things of Oreos, some Chex Mix, and some bakery fresh Christmas cookies. Who cares if it's late =D. I'm sending him tons more than necessary, lol. Came home and dyed my hair, now I'm blogging and about to end this one for the night. Gotta be up in the a.m. for an oil change and tire rotation, then it's off to Gainesville for Japanese steakhouse and hopefully the last of my Christmas shopping. Nighty-night everyone =)).

....mentally exhausted.
Sorry for the lack of blogging. Dial-up (....yes, that still exists) makes Internet pretty difficult. I got to FL in the beginning of Nov, and the past 6 weeks have been spent catching up with family and friends. Will got R&R extremely early. I'm now dealing with the aftermath of that. I feel empty. The second good-bye was so much worse than the first. We crammed Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and our birthdays into 2 weeks. Me and a lot of my friends have been plagued by sadness. My mom got a health diagnosis that wasn't the greatest, two of my best friends' grandparents have passed away, my friend Jessica's dog got hit by a douche on Thanksgiving, and another friend has had some pretty awful stress during her husband's deployment. I'm pretty much over the bad luck streak. I'm thankful I have some pretty awesome friends, both in the 352 and 915 who constantly check on me. I haven't felt like myself since Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I had an amazing R&R with Will. Idk what's with the depression honestly. We ate a ton of yummy Southern food, hit up a local beach, did some local 'tourist' stuff, went to Tally, went and saw Breaking Dawn, went to Ocala to see their Christmas display (did a Ferris wheel while there, my very first one!), and saw a ton of friends. Tonight was a night of Capt Crunch (Christmas kind), a good book, and my LuLu. Hope everyone's doing good. I'll blog again when I can =)).

'Give up your worries so you can give God the glory'
Called my youth pastor at midnight FL time, hysterical. Thank God for their up late habits, and that they have a ton of patience. His wife calmed me down, and then they prayed with me. Amazing. We chatted for a little while, then I let them go since I knew they had to be up soon for church. Read my 'Faith Deployed' book, and it was all about worry. Called my Gamma just to hear a familiar voice. Woke up to my amazing hubs calling. My gut was right though. I can't talk about it really, due to OPSEC, but I knew something happened =/. Thanks to all who were praying. <3.

Wonderful Wednesday
My wake-up call ended up being my hubby this morning. How excited was I?! =D. Though there's multiple countries, and a pretty big ocean separating us right now...our marriage and our relationship has improved tremendously. We're doing a devotional, and reading 'Purpose Driven Life' by Rick Warren together, and sharing our thoughts and feelings on the material. I love stuff like that. We've done 'The Love Dare' and it changed us. =). Will also got 'The Resolution for Men' from the movie 'Courageous' in preparation for hopefully becoming a dad soon, and I literally just Google'd the fact there's a book for women too, so as soon as I get to FL, that'll be my next purchase.
Speaking of FL, I'm so excited. Depending on circumstances, I may stay longer than originally planned. My Gamma is getting up in age, I'm childless and all my dog needs is food, water, toys, treats, and constant attention, and she can get that in any zip code...so I'm gonna hopefully take advantage of spending extra quality time with my family. Yes, I'm excited to see my friends too, but the focus of this visit is my family, which my friends understand. I didn't use to appreciate my Momma or Gamma as much as I could. In my very early teenage years, I secretly resented the fact they were so old-school (and I'm so ashamed to be admitting this...but it was a HUGE flaw in my judgment) Everything those two precious ladies did was to better me. No TV or anything until my homework was completed correctly (I scored a 24 on the ACT and got multiple scholarships for my grades)...no letting me out of the house at any old time with someone they didn't know (no underage drinking (that wasn't monitored by them)...no teenage pregnancy...no jail record)....not getting every single thing I wanted (lead me to appreciate things I did receive, which was still a lot, I'll admit). My rebellious stage wasn't as broadcasted as others' were, but I still went through one. I said many a things I didn't mean in trivial angst. I thank God for showing me how wrong I was, and am so thankful I got a second chance to have the relationship I do now.
I started to pack some stuff up today, basically just toiletries and accessories. This time in 2 weeks I'll be in the 352. <3.
I spent the morning at Amber's, with her and her adorable boy Conner. Watched Winnie the Pooh, and Diego. Learned more Spanish from a show than I did in my required high school language class, which is saying something, because I was too busy making fun of the show to pay much attention ;).
Anyways, sweet dreams bloggers, 7 a.m. will come early for me =).

Productive Day =)
Today started off an early one. Had to wake up early so I could head to the post office and mail Will his care packages. =). I'll post pictures soon, but one was essentials (soap, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, etc.) along with his PSP games (yes, my hubs' is a nerd =D) and the other one was filled with letters, cards, and a bunch of snacks. Boy Scout caramel popcorn, Halloween Oreos, Halloween goodie bags full of candy (with a stern note telling him to share ;) ), and sunflower seeds. At the commissary a few weeks ago, we had a case lot sale, and there were boxes of sunflower seeds with like 18 bags in each box, for $6. =D. Needless to say, I got 2, since Will's been obsessed with them every since he stopped dipping (I refused to kiss him if he had spitting tobacco in his mouth, and only after he brushed, flossed, mouthwashed, and brushed again would I relent...needless to say, he quit kinda quickly after a few times of that =D).
Then I headed to WalMart to return a fabric carrier for Lu that she was wayy too long for. Headed over to my friend's with Lu so we could hang out while our doggies played. They're so cute, even though it's taking LuLu forever to warm up to Bella.
Got a text the hard crate had arrived for in-store pick-up so we climbed into my Fusion to go pick it up. Came home and put it together, put Lu's bed and blanket in there, and was trying to get her use to it,but I gave up and am just letting her sniff it out until she decides it's acceptable. If you know my dog, she's a total priss. No lie. Kim tried giving her a treat, and she kinda just stuck up her nose at it..and then Bella stole it and quickly gobbled it up ;). I'm considering holding her favorite toy (a hedgehog) hostage in the crate, since I have like a week and a half to get her ready for it.
Randomly checked my E-mail, to find out I had one from my favorite guy. Nothing puts a smile on my face faster than hearing from him, hearing his name, or talking about him. I'm still completely twitterpated even after almost 4 years of being together (take THAT teenage marriage statistics). Still kinda bummed come June we'll have been married 3 years, and we've yet to spend an anniversary together...but that comes in the job title. He's pretty good at making me feel like a newlywed on just completely random days.
Oh! And this made me seriously cry(Kim's my witness).
My Momma & Gamma put in a picture of Will & I, with the caption "SPC William Vaughan recently deployed to Afghanistan from Ft.Bliss, TX. We love you and are so proud of you!'' I seriously love this picture of us, and it was nice to see that in the online edition of our local newspaper.
Bigger preview:
Ahh. I just love him to death =).
But it's late, and I better get to sleep. My 8 a.m. wake-up call comes way too soon. Hanging out with Amber tomorrow, gotta make it back home to receive my Fed-Ex package and get ready for the apartment inspection, oh joy ;).

Sorry for the no-blogging weekend
This weekend was a friend's son's birthday party, and then just hung out yesterday. I did get to talk to Will this morning, so I'm deliriously happy. =). I'm sending off two care packages soon to him. I love doing this. I put all my love into it (he's well worth it). People have made fun of those who decorate the care packages, but if Will should like it, then I don't care what people say =D. I'll post pictures of the one before I tape it up =).
I'm also not gonna be on a ton more than likely in the next 2 weeks. Got a LOT to do before I leave. Register for auto pay with my leasing office, stop my mail, etc. And then you know...packing would come in handy =D. Also got to grab a few last minute things, yay. I'm really ready to get moving. I have a to-do list, and I'm pretty psyched because 3 things are already checked off. =). Most importantly, my AAA is renewed for the long (very long) drive home. But I need to get moving so I can tackle the rest of my list, and make a packing list. (I always always always forget things.)
Have a good day everyone!

Waitin' on my usual 11 o'clock call from my Gams
..so I'm writing a blog. For some reason, she's been calling every night around this time ( 1 o'clock in FL) and I loveee it. =). She's just so cute, and the epitome of a typical grandmother =)). She spoils me and bakes me yummies. =D. Last year I was home, the first day she made me banana nut bread for breakfast ;). And today she randomly calls to see if I've replaced my Lu's crate (last year while home she got mad she got left alone while we went out for dinner, so she chewed up her fabric crate).,...which, I haven't, so she told me to price a new one for when I drive home, found one half the price I paid last year so we went ahead and ordered it. Should be here one week before I leave. =D. It's pink, whahaha.
Oh. Randomness. But my hubs is amazing. He somehow knew to call today, and it was my longest convo to date. I was super excited. He's just, ahh I love him to death. And we discussed Clomid. He's just like, 'I want a family with you any way possible.' So, Clomid is a go. =D. I finished getting stuff for his first care package today. I got him Halloween Oreo's, made him some candy bags, and an ultra-cute card, and I'm gonna decorate the inside of the box as well. I'm making sure I include enough in there in case there's someone who isn't getting stuff.. That kinda stuff breaks my heart. =(.
Today was pretty amazing. Went to WalMart to get some bubble wrap for a few things I'm mailing him, and picked up some turtle brownies to take to Amber's house, since she was making me lunch and we were gonna hang out all afternoon. She made veggie tortilla stew and it was soo yummy. Perfect for my PMS day lol. Then we watched 'The Breakfast Club.' I looove lazy days with friends =D.
Came home so Lu wouldn't rebel against me lol. Ate some dinner (leftover pork chop and some onzo salad Amber sent home with me), and watched the two episodes of The Lying Game I've missed. Loove that show =).
And she may actually be sleeping, so I'm about to do the same. Night bloggers!

Having a bad night..
Tonight's just one of those nights when I dreadfully miss Will. I honestly don't know how it happened. But I do. I try to avoid posting missing him status' on FB, b/c I've already been chastised on how I'm not the only one feeling this way. =/. Obviouslyyyy. I was fine...was watching 'Pretty in Pink' and the next thing I knew I was sitting there sobbing, and the tears randomly come ever since. Prob doesn't help my emotions are on a roller coaster of their own right now. I just hope he's well, and that he knows I love and miss him =/.
And I'm making a promise to myself to stop taking his awesomeness for granted =(.
So for now, I have to content myself to laying in his hoodie that smells deliciously like him and praying sleep comes soon.
G'night everyone =/.

My Gamma...
....cracks me up. I miss her so much, and I'm so excited I'm going to be seeing her soon. She keeps talking about these stuffed pork chops (my mom and another daughter spent the day with her this past Sunday, and that's what she made them for lunch) to where I started craving a pork chop. So, my pork chop is marinading in the Jack Daniels mesquite marinade right this very second. Probably gonna make some mac & cheese to go with it. And Pretty in Pink is in the PS3 waiting to be played =). Lookin' forward to a cozy night at home, and maybe even a phone call? (wishful thinking). I'm really ready to be home. I'm very family/friends oriented, and it's been over a year since I seen most people. One of my friends from home did a 'to be honest' so I clicked his status. He then reminded me of in high school, whenever we saw each other, we'd say (obnoxiously loud) Hi Liz!/Hey Kenny!. Always cracked me up. We made plans to get lunch when I'm in town as well. Before I moved, Will & I would run into him all the time at Wally World (biggest social place nearby) lol, and we would still do it.
Is it sad I'm already making my packing list? I really love EP now, and I've made some awesome friends, but there's just something about going home =).

The Liebster Blog Award: My Very First One!
This award was presented to me by Laura! I really appreciate it, as she's a very new follower and it's my very first award.
Laura is 29 years old, she's very down-to-earth, has amazing life lists (and works hard at accomplishing them), and love the same kind of shows I do ;). She also looks like an amazing cook.
Her blog: Go Check Her Out!
Here's what she said about me =) : 3. Liz at Life As I Know It - I just started to follow along with Liz. She's only 21 years old, already married and learning to live while her husband is deployed. I can not even imagine. She loves 1990s tv shows and was born after Full House started. I'm still struggling with that fact. I. am. old.

- Kim Brady at : http://kimbrady101.blogspot.com/
Kim is also a 21 year old Army wife here at Bliss. She's been TTC for a while, and is pregnant with a little miracle. I couldn't be more happier for her. It's looking like it's Team Pink in the Brady house =). She's a sweetheart, and I'm glad to call her a friend.
- Amber Myrda at: http://writinglovediscoveringme.blogspot.com
Amber is also an Army wife here at Bliss with us. She's recently on a vegetarian adventure due to a health diagnosis, and she posts amazing recipes and pictures, that I get to sample tomorrow! =D. She's a Scentsy consultant as well. And she has the most adorable son, Conner. Amber's from Chicago, but I don't hold that against her ;).
She's a new blog that I just started following. I've learned she has good taste (she likes Torrid), and her son likes 'Sexy and I Know It.' She's a former waitress, and now is a stay at home mommy to some cute kids =). She's real and honest in her blogs, and I like that. =)
- Jessica Burkel at http://thecountdown-jessica.blogspot.com/
Jess is one of my very close friends from back home. She's always one to post an ultra-sweet comment on my posts, and I love her dearly. She blogs about working at the WD, her puppy Comet (who's Lu's boyfriend), and recently, her boyfriend (one of my favorite guys ever, Robbie.) She's also a hardcore FSU fan.
- Miranda Mae at http://miranda-lifeisanart.blogspot.com/
Miranda is a very serious blogger. She participates in most link-ups, and well as talking about college, family, friends, and life in general. I must say her blog button is awesome, but that's being biased ;). This girl is my best friend, fo life. =)
I know 80% of these people I know in real life, butt I just started getting new bloggers. My challenge to myself is by the time I get a new blog award(hoping I will), my recipents won't be anyone I know =D.
Thanks again to Laura for the award, and thanks to everyone who follows me, I appreciate it =). Now, go check out these bloggers.
Also, special shout-out to Jena at http://bumpsandhighways.blogspot.com/, yet another close friend and fellow Army wife. Her blog posts are usually about her cute family, and it makes me smile to read them =).

New Favorites in my Closet
This year I'm slowly experimenting with some of the new trends. But this is probably one of my most favorite outfits =). TX fashion is a lot different from my usual FL fashion of shorts, tee shirt, and flip-flops. There's a lot of people here from a multitude of states, so it's all kinda mismatched, which is cool, or else I'd never break free from my usual.
Speaking of, we have an FRG meeting tonight (Family Readiness Group)...So, I'm on a mission to wear something I prob wouldn't two years ago =).
Pictures to come ;).
Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday! Volume 1.

Trendy Tuesday
Linkin' up to a new blog I just started following, Meg at http://lifeofnashvegasmeg.blogspot.com/

She defined trendy using dictionary.com, I urbandictionied it.
Trendy:
(adj.) Used to described whatever is "in" at the time of description, as in popular or done by a large number of people.
The definition of "trendy" constantly changes because trends change too. What is in at one point often becomes yesterday's fashion very quickly. As such, there really is no set definition.

Dance Like Nobody's Watching
Today started off pretty depressing. I had an OB appt to get lab results to see if I was ovulating every month on my own, last month was good..this month...not so much. So we discussed our options. I can try fertility drugs and see if they help...or I chance it..every month. I haven't got a chance to discuss this yet with my husband, since you know, everyday communication with Afghanistan is frowned upon, but I've prayed about it and am putting it in God's hands. I'm also gonna to research every little thing known to Google about Clomid before the upcoming year. Came home slightly bummed, but my friends were amazing about it.
I'm finally not congested anymore, so I decided to warm my Scentsy up, blast the iPod, and danced and sung like crazy, because hey, no one's here to see =D. Felt amazing to just get everything off my mind, and be free. Then I glanced at the clock and realized my friend Danielle would be there soon, so I scrambled like crazy to get ready. But the 10 minutes of being ridiculous was awesome. Danielle arrived and we left to get snacks before we saw Footloose. Amazing movie. I seriously loved it. One of the character's, Willard, seriously reminds me of my hubs.(besides just the name) He's a small town boy with no dance skills =D.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skh8_6LF4Io
After the movie we headed to Wal Mart to finish getting stuff for the soldier's stocking drive, and I continued to get stuff to spoil my soldier. Now I'm sitting on my couch, with my Lu girl cuddled up next to me, drinking a Stewart's Orange N'Cream fountain classic soda. So yummy.
Tomorrow's a long day. Got a maintenance order in, as well as an inspection of the air filter. Fun stuff.

R.I.P. Baby Vaughan 01/05/2011
Today we remember those who were taken to soon, born sleeping & those who weren't on earth long enough. Today is international baby lost day. I'm thinking of my angel, as I do every day. And saying a special prayer for all my angel mommy friends. Don't forget to light a candle for our babies! And most importantly remember that while it breaks our hearts that they aren't here with us today, they are waiting for us & they have the BEST baby sitter!♥ (stole from Kim) R.I.P. baby Vaughan ♥ ♥ ♥.

Can't wait until you get home Will and we can try again.
And to all those other mothers who struggle with this day, my prayers go out to you <3.

Diddly-dee
Yesterday was the Ft.Bliss vs. Westboro Baptist Church counter-protest. It was fun. Will called early that morning, so he knew about my participation, all he said was not to get arrested because getting me out on bond while in another country could prove to be quite difficult. lmao. I was very excited to be a part of this. We helped a family's worse day from becoming even worse.
Then I went and got Baja Fresh for lunch again with Danielle. Walked to Walgreens due to my acid reflux acting up to get some Pepto, and found the coolest military appreciation card for Will. Went back to her house and hung out for a bit.
Today was Girl's Day. Had pizza, and Lu got to play with Bella. Came home and gave her a bath, because she really needed one. Bought Zookeeper, Horrible Bosses, and Nicholas Sparks' new book 'The Best Of Me.' Turned on The Office. Did some laundry. Cooked an amazing meal.
Yummiest Thing Ever! Made mac & cheese and corn for my sides, even have dinner for tomorrow now. =D.
Had fun at Amber's party on Saturday. Ordered beer bread and chicken tortilla soup. Excited for it to come in =)).
And now I'm laying down with my Lu girl, re-reading all of Will's messages to date, and watching The Office. Only 2 more seasons left in my marathon =(.

Friday Fun
Yesterday I went out with my friend Danielle. She kept talking about Mexican food, and I was seriously craving it. So she introduced me to Baja Fresh. Amazing. Almost as much as Chipotle, and those who know me, know I looove that place. Then we went and got stuff for Will's unit stocking drive. And then we met up with Amber to go see Dream House. I actually really liked it, and it wasn't what I expected. Today I have a party to attend, then I'm coming home to watch The Office because my back is killing me =(.

Laundry, dishes, and The Office
My best friend got me addicted to The Office, and that's awesome, because that's part of what I'm filling my days with, lol. I got all seven seasons so far, and I'm on three, so I have a bunch to occupy my time, besides chores.
Speaking of chores, laundry sucks, lol. I kinda slacked on it, since I usually do it on Fridays, but Will was off, so I postponed it, till today. Not technically procrastination, since I have a valid reason as to why I postponed it =D. But today it just kinda crept up on me. I hate my apartment being cluttered. And when it's reaching that point, crazy Liz comes out =D.
Same with dishes. I hate my sink being full of dirty dishes. And it use to irritate me when a casserole dish had to soak overnight. But then Dawn, my lovely Dawn, came out with this new thing. Dawn Power Clean. Gives the same overnight results in about 10 minutes, it boasts 5, but I leave them a bit longer.
So I'm been filling my days with mundane tasks, and my friends. The ones in El Paso are amazing, FBing me, texting me, making me get out of the house. I appreciate those who've done that. I'm not one to usually call you up and hang out, idk why. And then I have my friends in FL <3. They are my lifesavers. So far it's not too bad, it's kinda like a field problem, when he gets to Afghan though,..=/.
I'm trying to avoid Will's battles' FB, but one post got me scared. Someone posted 2 people died from her unit, she hadn't left yet so I'm not sure if she meant over there,...or here in EP. Either way, it's sad. The virtual FRG hasn't posted anything, so I'm assuming it's here.

Tomorrow is the day
...that the Lord hath made, and so I will rejoice in it (even if all I truly wanna do is cry.) Seeing Will say all of his last good-byes break my heart. We went out and saw 'Courageous' last night, and I immediately went to Target to buy the book. One minute I was crying, the next I was laughing hysterically. Which pretty much sums up my roller coaster of emotions lately. This weekend has FLOWN by. Friday we ran errands, got Transformers (AMAZING movie), dropped off a birthday present for our friends' son's 2nd birthday, and then we went to Las Cruces to eat McAlister's, got Will a few books picked out for deployment, and got him 2 new games for his PSP. Then yesterday we ate some Subway, watched the movie, and watched Transformers. I started having abdominal pain, but I'm hoping it's just nerves, and not worthy of another ER visit, so pray? Today, we may go see What's Your Number, but I'm not sure yet. I think Will is waking up, so I'm gonna end this blog. I apologize in advance if I don't post again until later this week.

Trusting in God.
My life..is not what I expected. When I married Will, we wanted kids right away. I was 19. But, God has another plan for us right now. We never actively tried until the past 3 months (had to wait 6 months after my eptopic, and when my 6 month wait was over, Will was gone for training.) This month I got blood tested to make sure I was ovulating, which I was, but still the negative sign on my e.p.t. digital taunts me. Will leaves very very soon, before I begin ovulation again, so, I'll be at least 23 when we finally have a baby (granted I get pregnant right away). I know there's a ton of people who can't get pregnant, and that have been trying a lot longer than us, anddd there are those who are nearing no-longer prime conception years. I know this whiny blog may sound trivial, butt it's how I feel, and you don't have to read this. =/. We always knew we wanted kids, but after I lost our baby in January, it's literally allllll I think about. I'm not bitter (at least, I really really hope I'm not), but there's times it bothers me privately. And so I blog about it. Goodness knows I'm not about to complain to Will, who's off to Afghan. He has enough on his mind. But I watch him with our friends' kids, and I feel soo bad. Will was meant to be a dad. Without a doubt. I mean, I love kids, and some have an instant connection with me, but Will...is just amazing. And it pains me to see that. My friend Kim brought up a good point the other day. I want Will by my side for this next pregnancy, and with the new 2 year dwell time, he will be. And so, I wait. Albeit a little bit impatiently. Thank you God for loving me with all my faults, and please let me find solace in Jeremiah 29:11.

So ready to wear this dress on part 2 of our pre-deployment photo shoot. I fell in LOVE, and I usually don't with dresses. Our last photos came out amazing, and I'm looking forward to round 2 in Will's uniform. =).
Today's been a good day. We continued our mini-cation with an amazing meal of filet mignon, lobster tails, noodles, and wine. All we really did today is watch football, and we watched 'White Chicks.' =).
Hope everyone had a good weekend, and Jess B- hope you get to feeling better <3.

Friday Night Getaway
Last night we spent the night at the Wyndham. Friggin gorgeous hotel btw. We got a king suite room, and we adored it. Since it was part of a romantic package, we got a bottle of champagne, andd a late check-out time of 2 p.m.! Which was good, since we didn't wake up until the usual check-out time of 11, he he. We missed breakfast so we went to IHOP. Will got the Colorado omelette, and I had the 2 squared (two eggs, over easy, two pancakes w/butter pecan syrup and 2 sausage links), and we both had Splashberry's. (OJ, Sprite, and strawberries). So yummy. Last night we went to Red Lobster for dinner, and we both dressed up. Then we went to see our friend before he deployed. Tonight we have a Fiesta! birthday party for one of our good friends', Danielle. =). Tomorrow should be a lazy day, and Monday we're taking more pictures =). Last night I started watching Lock Up! - Tampa episode. Kinda cool I was only 3 hours away from that prison when I lived back home. My hubby is glued to his TV, and computer atm. He's playing Madden on the PS3, and watching the Noles game on a live feed. He's obsessed, lol. But I'm about to jump off of here, so hope you all have a good Saturday!

Time needs to stop.
Will's unit is the last to leave, and therefore, the last to come home. Boo to him being in a Cav unit. =/. I'm very glad I have friends who are gonna make an effort to keep me busy. I'm not gonna be in the mindset of making plans, but some of these girls are persistent lol. Friday night was my Slumber Party. I had a blast. Served a bunch of appetizers. Fried green beans, potato skins, and jalapeno poppers. Also, the famous buffalo chicken dip. All yummy. So far this week I've got my Scentsy, had 2 OB appts (good news, but NOT the news, so, in 9 months, it's game on), got some cute new clothes (paisley and lace are so CUTE right now!), and got more stuff ready for Will. Also continued my Gossip Girl marathon, just started season 4 =). I'm about to start dinner of pot roast, baked veggies, and sparkling grape juice. So yummy.

Scentsy, pictures, popsicles
My day started out at 6 a.m. For those who know me well, know this is not usual, lmao. I adore my sleep. However, my face was throbbing. I'm still extremely impressed with my dental care. All I really felt was pressure, but the fact I heard the tooth crack scared me. My dentist joked I chickened out yesterday (I couldn't do it after the consult due to needing an ok from my OB.) Dropped off my prescription at Walgreens, and headed to a Pre-Deployment Brief for Will's unit. Swung back by Walgreens to get my meds, and then did the drive-thru of KFC and got me some mashed taters. Yummy yummy. I've done absolutely nothing today, lol. I'm facebooking, blogging, and watching Gossip Girl =). My friend Danielle should be over soon with the disc containing all of our pre-deployment photos. =) I'll blog later.

...not ready to say see you later
Good-bye sounds so...final. Seeing our friend off tonight made me realize, deployment is really happening. Considering I'm crying over just a friend makes me worry how I'm going to react seeing Will, my husband, best friend, and hero, off =/. There's times I realize I take him for granted. He's such a good person, and he's just..amazing. =(. This year is gonna be crazy hard. But I'm taking advantage of all the time I get with him, so good night bloggers.
Evening Plans Just Changed.
......deployment ceremonies begin. Not for Will, but for one of my favorite NCO's. =((. We're about to eat dinner and go. Pray for this flight, and all the others =((.
God Bless America and God Bless the Bulldog Brigade.

Oral surgery tomorrow!
Went in for my bi-annual dentist visit today. Skipped the x-rays due to me trying to conceive. Found out I still don't have any cavities, praise God! (My Gamma still has all of her original teeth so I deff inherited that from her.) But my wisdom tooth (top left) really needs to come out. Half of it is already grown, but the other side just broke gum =/. It's been bothering me, but not enough where it's killing me, but they advise not to do dental surgeries in your first trimester, so I'm taking care of it just in case =). Have to go to OB tomorrow though to get a dental clearance. Just to say, I LOVE my dentist! I can always get an appointment, and I'm always seen right on schedule. I'm kinda nervous, even though I know it's not gonna be a big deal. I'm glad my dentist can do it, and that it's not bad enough I have to go to a specialist.
But I'm about to relax and eat some good ole Southern comfort food. Chicken & biscuits, and a nice cold glass of sweet tea =). G'night everybody!

Need to be wrapped in Bubble wrap
Apparently I'm a klutz, and accident phone. Wednesday I bruised my bone. It hurts. Still. Basically a paperweight fell from our closet, on a corner, directly on my foot. Will got home and took me to a civilian hospital (I've pretty much had enough of Beaumont.) Got x-rays and meds, then we had to go to military clothing to get Will everything he needed for inspection.
Thursday was a pre-deployment Town Hall mtg. Yet again, more useful information. This is deff appreciated.
Friday was 3/1's Casing Ceremony. Saw our mascot, a huuuuuge bulldog named Chester, since we're the Bulldog Brigade. Hung around after that, ate some yummy food at the DFAC (bbq chicken, baked macaroni, and some yummy cake.), andd went to get a few movies from Target afterwards. Finished my Madea collection, got the new X-Men, and grabbed 40 Year Old Virgin. Watched the latter last night, and ate some yummy steak. Will got a craving for chocolate ice cream, so we went to Dollar General where I found Dunkaroo's! My poor deprived husband has never even heard of them. Tsk tsk.
Today, so far, I slept in late. Read this month's Cosmo. Re-reading Safe Haven, and listening to football. (Go Gators!). Very lazy day.
Tomorrow our friend is going to take pre-deployment pictures. =)

Sorry if my blogs are redundant.
...just this is all that's on my mind. Thankfully, I am reallyyyy blessed with amazing friends, like Colton. Colton was one of my very best friends in elementary school, right after Rand'r. We've drifted apart some, but we've always had each others back, like now. His post just made my night and had me in tears.

Isn't he the sweetest?! Lol.
I've been trying to watch last night's episode of The Lying Game, but for some reason I cannot get into it tonight. =(. It's not the show, I just cannot sit still lol.
Other news, today was fun. Started off the day with plans to go swimming...ended up going to the mall, andd taking pictures of Kim and her adorable preggo self. Found out I'm pretty decent at painting on tummies ;)...and coming up with cute names and ideas. Lol. I got the build-a-bear Will made me a new outfit, they finally came out with the ACU's and not just the Class A's.
Tomorrow we're hopefully grabbing lunch with an old friend before he leaves us to head back to Germany =(. And then I have GOT to catch up on laundry, lol.
Anyways, don't let the bed bugs bite bloggers.
Kisses,
Liz
=/
Had Will make a list of stuff he'd like for his care packages today. Got a friend to do pictures at his deployment ceremony, and of course, at his coming home one also. Need to get an address book all filled out for him. Want patriotic pictures before he leaves, but he HATES pictures, so I'm doubting I'll be able to talk him into it lol. Time just needs to stop. This 4 day passed wayyyy too quickly. The waiting on him to leave is taking forever. Not that I dont like my time with Will, but it's hard. I want him to go, because the sooner he leaves, the sooner we'll be reunited <3. And I'm already looking forward to that.

Super Saturday
Today started out with a friend's kids' birthday party. That was a lot of fun =). Ate some pizza, watched the kids' do the pinata. Left to go to a Mexican restaurant with some friends. Ate some amazing chicken tacos and had some of the owner's special drink with friends. Played a game of pool (my team won, only b/c of Will lol), and watched some football. Tomorrow morning is a lazy morning, then a cook-out, and then Monday I plan to spend the entire afternoon at the pool =D. Then Will goes back to work lol. But I'm tired, so we're about to relax and watch some TV, then head to Dreamland. =D.

Friday Frenzy
Today was a hectic day. We had an appointment to get the water extraction machinery taken away, Stanley Steamer scheduled to shampoo our carpets, and a lunch date with friends.
Lunch was amazing. We ate at a Chinese buffet. I had octopus =D. It was pretty good, but every time I ate one I had to take in a mouthful of rice because that texture freaked me out. Lol.
Stanley Steamer came right on schedule, and were even cheaper than what they quoted me. And our carpets look and smell AMAZING. =D.
The other guy, however, BLECH. He dropped off some fans to dry out our carpet (washing machine overflowed), and a dehumidifier on Tuesday. Told me he'd only charge me a flat rate of $100. Amazing. Another guy quoted $600. So, he came, and I asked who to make the check out to. He kinda hum-hawed and asked if I could pay cash. Uhm, no. So he asked if I could make the check out to his 'employee' that was with him. Mkay, whatever, you already delivered the equipment. Asked for a receipt, said he didn't have the book with him, and he'd give it to me when he picked up the equipment. Made sure he wrote that I had the stuff until Friday, and that he's charging me just the initial price on his business card. Felt kinda bad since he did give me such a low price that I gave him and the other person $20 to get lunch on me. THEN, today, he comes, 6 hours late, and only after I called to explain to him I wasn't paying another day because he didn't show up. He said he'd be there in an hour...2 hours later, he shows up. Tries telling Will his bank said that the funds weren't going to be available to him for 15 days. He then went on to demand cash. But I called bullshit. The check cleared yesterday. Will comes in to inquire about it, and thankfully I had noticed this morning the check was cashed. Told the guy this. He implied I was lying. I get my laptop, pull up my online banking, show him the check #, and where it was cashed. He backtracked saying it was a miscommunication. Suuure it was. Guy tried guilt-tripping us, saying a dehumidifier to rent per day was $200, and we had it for 3 days. Boohoo. YOU set the price. =/. So I again inquired about my receipt, he then made an excuse about not having it, and thankfully Will's like, so then you won't have a problem signing the check stating we're paid in full. Guy got an attention, but you don't mess with my hubs when he's pissed, and you sure as hell don't accuse me of lying, lol.
But tonight was better. Will grilled some ribs, and I made mac & cheese and baked beans. We relaxed with a beer(well, mine was a Mike's Limeade), and watched some T.V. We get like 10 channels with an antennae. Old school and ghetto? Maybe. Cheap and resourceful? Heck yes. I even saw re-runs of 'The Hills,' anddd 'Friends.' I'm so EXCITED. $10! We're prob gonna get one for our bedroom soon, since it works so well. And we hung out with our neighbors =). The guy told me if I ever experience troubles like that to let him know, and he told Will he'd look in after me, as long as Will returned the favor with his girl. So that's pretty awesome.
Tomorrow we have a birthday party, and Idk what else we have planned.
But I'm about to go watch 'Madea's Big Happy Family.'
Good-night everyone.
Kisses,
Liz

Kisses,
Liz

The week is halfway over
...and the weekend brings a 4-day!...hopefully.
Tonight I'm attending a deployment expo. Lucky me. Actually, I am lucky. I wanna know as much as I can about this event that's going to drastically change my life for a while. There's still a lot to do before he leaves. I need to make a checklist, lol.
Today seems like it's gonna be a long day. I'm prob about to cuddle up with my Lu girl and watch the Pretty Little Liars finale, and then Gossip Girl. I'm halfway through re-watching the 2nd season, then I have the 3rd season, and finally I can start on the newly released on DVD season 4.
And I still have 4 seasons of The Office to watch. lol.
Well, longer post later.
Kisses,
Liz

New Favorite Obsession
...is The Lying Game. I cannot stop watching. I got the book the show was based on, but haven't been captivated like the show did. =).
Today was a normal day. Went and got a camera so Will can take the one we have with him. Ordered APO boxes. Time is flying by =/.
Came home to Will craving pizza and root beer so we got that. I watched him play NCAA while I messed around on Facebook.
btw- I just updated our bedroom, and it's so friggin adorable. Surprisingly Will likes it. Our bed now has red sheets and a zebra blanket...I love it!
Tomorrow is my weekly girls' day lunch, and the day I pick up Will's surprise. I pre-ordered Madden for him =).
Ooh, new amazing beauty products...Maybelline's new Eye Studio Master Drama eyeline, and their Volum' Express Falsies Flared mascara. Clean & Clear's body wash in pomegranate & orange zest, and also their Morning Burst fruit infusions facial cleanser in pomegranate, passion fruit, and acai =).
Anyways, on to episode two =D.
Kisses,
Liz

Back to the world of blogging =)
We finally have wireless again, yay!
I've missed blogging, even when there isn't much to blog about.
June was a ton of fun. Spent a ton of time with my friends from El Paso, and my two best friends flew out to see me to help me through the last week of separation from Will. Thankfully. We did the usual best friend stuff...eat, watched chick flicks, went shopping, got pampered at the salon in the mall, and gossiped lol. I loved having them here =). Will got home on the 28th, andd we saw Eli Young Band on the 30th. They are SO amazing live. I'm in love with their song 'Crazy Girl.' July was a whirlwind kind of month. Started preparing for the big D of the Army life. Will got his promotion. Spent a lot of time at the pool. August has been a good month. Will has vaca the first two weeks of it. Got a lot of stuff done, and relaxed a ton too. We saw a bunch of movies in theaters: The Change-Up, The Help, Friends with Benefits, and Crazy Stupid Love were all good. Went to the water park a couple times too. And got some stuff done we've been procrastinating on. Got a savings account, got a living will and a normal will done (something I hated doing =/), and got my car fixed (brakes and brake flushes aren't the cheapest things in the world just an fyi).
Last night was one of my good friend's birthday. What a night, lol. Will's still sleeping it off, so I was using the quiet time to get caught up =D. But I'm off to catch up on laundry and whatnot.
Have a good day everyone!

Waiting
Waiting
The days pass by so slow.
He's on her mind from the minute he has to go.
Field trainings are an everyday part of life.
So much for the glamorous Army wife.
She waits up until midnight, just for that one text.
She wonders when she'll see him next.
Homecomings are emotion-filled, tears everywhere.
But they're short, next thing you know, he's no longer there.
Most people have forgotten about the war.
But every day ticks closer to when he leaves, for a year or more.
The flag flies proudly, your heart swells with pride,
as you look to your left, to the soldier by your side.
But I know we've got a love that's Army strong.
And I know together we belong. 6.12.09.

No more worrying.
HSG came back with amazing results. My doctor prioritized my results seeing as she leaves soon, YAY! She was concerned about my left tube, and asked if my test went normally. I was honest and told her as soon as they had me roll unto my left side ( after injecting the iodine dye and inserting the CATHETER into my uterus), I had incredible pains, and she looked and determined this was caused by stress to my ovarian cysts. So she said the shot that showed my left Fallopian tube was due to that. But both tubes passed the dye normally, and the images showed both tubes were open and working well. My cervix and uterus were both deemed normal, and in perfect baby-making condition, and everything else down there is good to go. She suggested I start taking prenatals 3 months before trying, but this ectopic pregnancy should be the last, as there is no evidence of anything wrong. My fertility levels are apparently high. And I go for a vaginal ultrasound to check about my ovarian cysts Friday. SO! I'm extremely relieved, and ready to have fun with Miranda and Taylor without any concern for my health, FINALLY.

Week recap
Monday..I took a very good friend and her adorable son to the airport =). Came home and started my Grey's Anatomy marathon. I promised Will I'd watch all the seasons so we could finally watch season 6...in time for season 7's release. As of now, I'm on season 4, go me. =).
Tuesday, went swimming with the girls. It was a lot of fun. We all decided to go to the gym afterwards, and we braved spin class..for 30 minutes of torture. =/. Let's just say I slept amazingly that night ;).
Wednesday, a friend and I went to the outlet mall and the Sunland Park Mall. Got frozen lemonades, which were amazing =).
Thursday I continued my Grey's marathon, and went to the gym that night. Walked 2 and a half miles, and climbed 158 feet with the incline the treadmill uses. =D.
Yesterday I hit up the PX for the CG Nature lip balm. Got $5 off two, so I spent $6.98 on two, which was awesome. Also got another Smashbox eyeshadow, OPI's nail strengthner and a few make-up brushes. Pre-ordered Will's game for him, and went to the mall for a pair of shorts. Pretty good day.
Today is beginning with Grey's, and going swimming again later =).
Oh! And my friend's tickets are ordered and paid for. They arrive on the 20th, so I'm really excited.
Tomorrow is also my 2 year anniversary, and I doubt I'll even be able to hear his voice on it. But..we'll survive =).
