Murphy's Law

...is that everything that can go wrong, will. And that is deff true! I made a purdy darn good meal if I say so myself. Meatloaf, loaded mashed potatoes, peas, and Mt.Dew. (Will is always craving Mt.Dew and a Swiss roll when he gets back from FTX's, and I'm happy to oblige.) Butttttttt, he still isn't home yet, and it's o'dark thirty. So, I'm assuming they either a) didn't come home today, or b) someone was an idiot and left some kind of equipment. He has a slightly frozen Powerade whenever he does get home waiting in the Sunfire for him though. Today was a good day. I tidied up the apartment, finished laundry so we'd have a free washer and dryer, since his ACU's do not go past the kitchen when he gets home...and spent time with Amber & Conner. Tomorrow I'm hopefully getting my hair done, and paying rent. Woohoo! Pay hits our bank, next day I write one measly check, and BAM! 75% of this pay check is gone, lol. But that's ok, since we live in a very nice complex, and I love it here. So now, I'm playing Facebook games, and not looking forward to another night alone. I actually miss him hogging the bed. (Don't tell him I said that Ran or Jess ;)...I'll deny it.)

Anyways, hope all your readers have a good night =)

Marry Me =)

"Marry Me"

Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way
Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Together can never be close enough for me
Feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way
Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Promise me
You'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to
Sing to you
When all the music dies

And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say "Hello" in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Marry me
Mm-hmm

Kinda ironic I just heard this song right after my last blog, but I already love it.

Marry me William Michael Vaughan, today and everyday.

I'm getting sick of this song & dance routine

Today seems to be the day whores have dedicated to theirselves. Will & I have been married for 2 years come June...together for 3 in May. Yet..somehow...this...girl =/...seems to be unable to process he's OFF THE MARKET. She use to date one of his best friends at the time, and apparently lusted over what she couldn't have. Usually...this doesn't piss me off. But...the casual attitude people seem to apply to relationships, marriages specifically irritate me. (DISCLOSURE: I understand sometimes circumstances arise, this isn't judging those who are going through this..if there even is any.) Way back when, adultery WAS NOT tolerated. Nowadays, it's congratulated. It's sickening. But now a eyelash isn't even batted when woman/men hit on those who are clearly married. I'm not usually a jealous person. And if any of you who read this and think,'if you're secure in your marriage, this wouldn't be an issue.' Uhm...yeah it is. I am perfectly comfortable in my marriage, but I still don't like this attitude. Do not Facebook my husband and be all like, 'I'll be back in FL for a few weeks, text me..I'll be waiting.' Eff that. He's gonna mention it to me. Especially since once, when we went to see her (before we knew she was infatuated) and I overheard her tell Will, 'if your girlfriend wasn't here, I'd so make out with you.) Yeahhh, because doing it behind my back is so much better?! I've got a better guy than that. Plus, she use to call MY house, harassing me, telling me Will's gonna come to his senses and leave me for her. AHAHAHAHA. I think not. Last I checked, my husband is still head over heels for me...and I assure you, th e feeling is mutual. I wouldn't hold your breath on a chance with him. I don't have an issue with opposite sex relationships. However, we have both agreed if someone makes the other uncomfortable, we'd limit conversation with them. We both follow this pretty well. It's not a jealousy issue, it's a respect issue. People should respect we're both off the market. End of story.

Top 10: Favorite Writers

I've always been one of those nerdy kids who love to read. Even when I was little. This post is about my favorite writers =)), I encourage you to write about yours.

  • Nicholas Sparks
Nicholas Sparks has a way with words. My favorite book by him is probably 'Safe Haven,' or 'The Last Song.' It was different than his usual. He just writes the greatest love stories. I'm so ready for 'The Best of Me' to be published this fall.
  • Meg Calbot
Most well known for her 'Princess Diaries' novels. However, she also writes series titled 'Queen of Babble' and 'Size 12 is NOT Fat.'  Both are equally good, and I identify with both ;).
  • J.K. Rowling
'Harry Potter.' Need I say more? My favorite teacher ever got me hooked on them. I'm waiting on pins and needles for the last movie to be released, but I'm also hoping to drag it out. It's been a pretty big thing in my life since I was in the 4th grade. But alas, all good things must come to an end =(.
  • Stephanie Meyer
Ahh. 'Twilight.' I've always enjoyed the books more so than the movies. This craze started in the 12th grade, encouraged by one of my best friends, Taylor.
  • Danielle Steel
Not entirely sure how this started. I know my first book was 'Southern Lights,' but  my favorite is 'A Good Woman.' I cried while reading this, and appreciate this author doesn't try to tie everything up in a perfect package. Not all of her stories have the happiest of endings.
  • Sarah Dessen
'Lock and Key' is probably my favorite. They may be teenage fiction, but I still love them.
  • Melody Carlson
Melody Carlson writes some of the best Christian novels I've ever written. Her 'Diary of a Young Girl' books always seem to relate to me somehow, despite all the girls she wrote about had different upbringings and lifestyles. =)
  • Deb Caletti
So far I only have four of her novels, my favorite being 'Honey, Baby, Sweetheart.' My list of to-get books consist of 'Queen of Everything,' 'The Secret Life of Prince Charming,' and 'The Six Rules of Maybe.'
  • Ann Brashares
'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' spoke to my little clique. We each identify with every character. She's just really well-written.
  • Lauren Conrad
I'm obsessed, I know. I have all three of her books so far, and am anxiously waiting on her next. The books are basically an autobiography. I'm so ready to see the movie!

Top 10 TV Shows I'm Addicted To

Lately Hulu has become my best friend, lol. These shows are my prime source of entertainment lately.

1)  GLEE
I have my best friend to thank for this. I watch this show every week, and am dying inside due to the second season just recently ending. Mercedes is my ultimate favorite character, though Blaine, Sam, and Mr.S are seriously hot. ;). April Rhodes, Terri, and Terri's sister have me wanting to scratch my eyes out though. I miss Howard Bamboo! And I was disappointed Sunshine didn't return for the season finale, it has me anxious.

2)  Army Wives
Maybe it's the fact I am indeed an army wife, and though it's not all real-life, it's really captivating. This past week's episode had me crying the entire time. Claudia Joy is my favorite wife, and Chase Moran is the sexiest soldier on the show (my very own soldier holds the sexiest soldier award.)

3) Pretty Little Liars
This show has just recently become an addiction. I love the fashion shown off by the characters. Aria is my favorite Liar. Mr.Fitz is perfect for the eye candy. The suspense had me glued to Hulu every Monday. I refuse to read the books right now, and any spoiler site, because it keeps me entertained.

4) One Tree Hill
I forget how I got addicted to this show, but I absolutely adore it. When Will and I first got together, we'd spent hours on the first few seasons, and our love for this show has not died down. I'm anxiously waiting on it's release to DVD.

5) Gossip Girl
It's one of my guilty little pleasures. I want Blaire's wardrobe, but Serena is my favorite character. Little J annoys me. Chuck annoys me, because he can be SO sweet, and then a total jerk in the next second, it's infuriating. Dan is probably my favorite male character. Rufus cracks me up =).   Season 3's release seems so long ago, I need my little dose of xoxo. Lol.

6) Grey's Anatomy
I use to plead with my mom to let me break bedtime to watch this show. My mom's an RN, so the medical part always interested her. And Will, being the paramedic he was, and diehard medical lover he is, loves it too. I'm currently rewatching the seasons, we own 1-6 so far.

7) Laguna Beach
Oldie but goldie. I was addicted to this show in high school. Lauren is my favorite. Talan is adorable. Jessica, Dieter's girlfriend, makes my skin crawl. And Heidi even guest-starred, back when she was still Heidi. I watched one episode of season 3, when the regulars went off air,and Lauren's sister was cast, but it didn't enthrall me like seasons 1 & 2 did. I still own them, lol.

8) SNL

I'm not a diehard fan, but I still watch it pretty regularly. I wasn't impressed with Russell Brand, and was pleasantly surprised by Dana Carvey. Church Chat had me cracking up. And it had BIEBER! So far, my two favorite hosts were Taylor Swift, and Blake Lively. Abby Elliott is probably my favorite female, and Bill Hader has the #1 male in the bag. Always good for a bad day.

9) Full House
I grew up with this show. It provides appropriate funny entertainment. So far I've only collected seasons 1 & 2, but I deff want the entire show series. Uncle Jesse...enough said ;).

                                                          And last but not least:

10) Friends
The theme song is so catchy, lol. I love Rachel and Joey from this cast. Will & I both like it, and are looking forward to purchasing all 10 series =)).

What are the shows that have you glued to the tube?

Heavy on my heart

Lately, a lot of interest has been shown in the areas of bullying and teen suicides. When we were in 8th grade, a classmate of ours died. They said it was heart failure, or something like that..but I'm pretty much convinced it was due to suicide. She had attempted it twice before. Kids are cruel sometimes, without meaning to be. Sometimes, we mean to be. Idle gossip, name-calling, the purposely leaving people out...it all hurts. I've been guilty of it, and I've been affected by it. I'm deff not the nicest person around. I get catty, and I really shouldn't. I realize my faults, but..as I am human, I will be guilty of it time and time again. So thanks to those friends who tolerate me at my worst, and love me at my best. Sometimes I don't deserve it. But karma can be a *****, and it gets me back tenfold. Thankfully. It's a constant reality check.

I'm really proud of my classmates though. Despite the fact we were in 8th grade, we raised the money to purchase a headstone for her.

To those who may have been hurt by my not so awesome side, I'm sorry. =(

Where I've been..leads me to where I'm going

My best friend is slightly blog obsessed, so she's always finding cool blog ideas, and I usually steal them =D.
This one entails making a map ( You can create your own travel map by clicking on this awesome link)
So I considered myself tagged. A lot of states I've visited is due to World Changers, a mission trip I was heavily involved in. Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia were due to that. When my husband joined the Army, we had figured we'd travel a lot due to PCSing. We were wrong. Lol. We got to El Paso, TX...and stayed here. But through the Army, I've also visited New Mexico, which I probably wouldn't have done without being stationed here. And I got to go to Ft.Jackson, which is located in Columbia, South Carolina.
Through family travels when I was younger, I went to Minnesota and CANADA! Lol. I have photos from when I was four months old in Canada. I think it's pretty awesome.

Top 3 Favorites Place I've Visited
                                                          * Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
                                                          * New York City, New York
                                                          *  Norfolk, VA

Will edit this later, running late for a game

Fashion Fever

What is your favorite accessory?
My wedding band and engagement ring. Hands down. Both my husband picked out exclusively for me. Even when I take them off for a cleaning, I feel naked.

Who is your fashion role model?
Lauren Conrad. I loved her fashion sense way back when, since she was first known as LC on Laguna.  And Amber Riley's character on Glee, though I'd never wear a fourth of the stuff she does, lol.

What do you always carry with you?
9 times out of 10, a Coach wristlet will be attached to me, lol.

What would you describe your fashion style as?
Casual comfortable, yet cute. There's days I wear cute shirts and jeans from Torrid, complete with jewelry and flats, to days like today, where I rocked cute sweats and a tank.

Favorite: jeans, sunglasses, heels?
My favorite jeans would probably have to be my dark rinsed AE jeans.
Sunglasses...would be my maroon rhinestone studded Steve Madden's.
And heels...what are those? JK. I have a cute pair of tan studded heels from Candie's I love...but rarely wear.

What is your favorite fashion store/shop?
Torrid. Hands down.

What is your favorite clothing fabric?
Cotton, lol. No joke. ( I agree with Miranda =))

Who is your favorite designer?
Besides Lauren?  I love Vera Wang's line for Kohl's. And whoever is in charge at Torrid.

Who/what inspires your fashion?
I can't say I actually pay attention to what a certain person wears and draw ideas from them, I just focus on perfecting what is right for my personality and body type.
(Again, durn Rand'r for having good answers!)

But Will also usually has a say in some things I buy.  He'll walk
around and encourage me to try different things on.

What would you choose to do-buy something high quality or make it yourself?
Buy. If I were my mom, I'm pretty sure my answer would be different. As it is, the only crafty thing I can make myself is the tie blankets, lol. However, there's only a few things I splurge on. Good jeans, sneakers, and my Coach purse.

R.I.P.

Another tragedy has hit my hometown. A graduate of my class died tonight following a car accident. That is all I know...and I'm not gonna acknowledge the rumors that are spreading like wildfire. =/. I do pray for his family, and close friends..as this is the 2nd guy from a pretty close group of guys in the past 3 years. It's flaming up everywhere, and last I heard, his mom had not been informed yet. It's really sad, and my heart is with Dixie County tonight, and always.

Night of fun =)

I FINALLY got to catch up with Amber and Mr.Cutie pie Conner yesterday. We were gonna meet with other army wives for lunch, but none showed up that we knew. So we walked around the PX, I got a Danielle Steel book, and Conner got a cute outfit ;). Then we went to Smashburger for lunch, since Subway's line was absurd, lol, and then on to my apartment. I met Amber when they first moved here over a year ago, and we're still friends! Lol. She's deff my best army wife friend that I made here. We decided they were spending the nights, as both of our hubbies were gone for a FTX. =).

This past week I've done pretty much nothing, lol. This apartment is tidy, but I need to get spring cleaning accomplished. I'm pretty sure once I know a date we're for sure leaving, it'll be a big enough incentive to get moving ;)...literally.

Welp, I'm about to get finish reading, and get ready should Will get home at a decent hour tonight. =)

(Jess, I promise I'll blog more soon)

Noises at Night

...freak me out. I'm a little kid. I'm hiding in our room, praying that it was just a neighbor drunk,..who hit our door on accident. Ever since Srgt.Major and the robbery, creepy noises affect me even worse. But..I have our gun on our nightstand. 3 more days! I'm not use to being able to spread out comfortably in our bed, we always arrange our bodies around Lu, lol. Anyways, don't let the bed bugs bite bloggers =).

Broken =(

were my glasses. And Ft.Bliss Optical was no help! Though not even 6 months old, I would've had to replace the entire pair. But! Thankfully, nicer optical places in the mall referred this hole-in-the-wall shop, and the guy is a miracle worker. My Calvin Klein glasses are in one piece again =). No more wiggly temple arms. All for $40 and some change. Hallelujah!

My Fusion's still at the shop, and when we pick it up...Will's car is going in, lol. Poor Sunfire needs a fuel flush, oil change, A/C check since it stopped blowing cold air, and the windshield line thingy broke. Expensive little thing, but I love that car.

Grocery shopping was fun. Got a ton of stuff, everything in the house is completely stocked up. Steak, ribs, tenderloin, chicken, and hamburger meat. I always plan a menu as to avoid overbuying...but we were completely out of stock.

I also picked up a pocket planner, and mini expanding file for my coupons. =). I love that little thing. It held my mini calculator, grocery list, coupons, and ID/debit card, with no bulging. Got almost $30 back from Plato's Closet, and spent it on books to read in case Will does indeed leave for the field this week.

I may not be an Army wife for much longer, and that thought is weird. However! I already have job offers from back home, and that's exciting. Ever since I heard Will's getting out, my homesickness has grown like..tenfold. As soon as I end this blog, I'm gonna indulge in our local newspaper. Thank goodness I have that.

OH! And this week's Glee = amazing. I loved it. =)

That's all for now. G'night!

This one's for you...

..Jessica ;). Lol. Life has been crazy lately. And I've been homesick like no other, that's normal...but usually I can keep control of it.

Tuesday we had to take Miss LuLu Ann to the vet for her shots. She got a new one, and was so lethargic I was worried. But come Wednesday morning, she was my perky pesky Lu girl again.

Yesterday I did laundry, went through my closet to find clothes I was gonna try and sell to Plato's Closet, and vacuumed. Also started re-reading the book 'Army Wives.'  Also tried a new Hamburger Helper meal...Philly Cheesesteak. When it was done, I added some shredded cheese, and it's amazing.

Today is gonna be a busy busy day. Selling clothes, hopefully picking up a few tees from Old Navy, grocery shopping, and dropping off the Fusion for some maintenance.  Oh, and paying the bills. Credit card, electric, and the car and renter's insurance.

Besides that, my days have been pretty boring. I text my friends constantly...thank goodness for unlimited, and talk to my Momma and Gamma.

I'll try to keep my blog more-up-to-date. =).

Questions 1-15

15 Questions

Stole from Rand'r ;).

1. What is something you think you can do, but you actually can't?

I'd like to think that, after as many times as people run over me, and just treat me and my husband horribly, I'd stop trusting people so easily. However, it hasn't seem to work that way. I grew up in a small Southern town, where it was all about hospitality, and being assured that the saying 'pass it on' is put into everyday life.

2. What is a difficult word for you to pronounce?

Pneumonia. For the life of me, I cannot even begin to correctly pronounce this word. Lol.

3. What is a favorite TV show from your childhood?

Like Randa said, the 90's were a good decade for cartoons. Doug/Rugrats/Looney Tunes/ Animaniacs were my cartoons of choice. Oh, and Pokemon.

4. What are your virtues and vices?

I like to believe my virtue is friendliness. Or loyalty.
My biggest vice would have to be my inability to let bygones be bygones sometimes. I bottle up my feelings, and keep them with me always.

5. What's more important: love, fame, power, or money?

Love, without a doubt. I'm so thankful to have so much of this in my life.

6. If you could live in any era/time period, when would it be and why?

I would definitely have to say the late 1800's to early 1900's.  I've always been fascinated by the idea of socialites, luxurious balls, corsets, and big, fancy gowns.  Life just seemed sort of magical back then. - Stealing Randa's answer. I wasn't always fascinated by it, but lately movies like that have spiked my interest.

7. If you had to redo your entire wardrobe with only 2 stores, what would they be and why?

Torrid, for sure. I love all their clothes =). Old Navy would be a close second. They have really cute stuff for cheap.

8. Can you recall what you were doing a year ago on this day?

Lol. I still have my pocket agenda.( need to buy new one!) and according to it I went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings with Will, lol.

9. Do you have re-occurring dreams? If so, explain?

I honestly cannot think of one single repeated dream. But that's partly due to I barely remember anydreams.

10. What's your horoscope?

Well, my zodiac sign is a Pisces. And from what I gather, it's pretty accurate.

11. What does your dream bedroom look like?

Huge room. Wood floors. Buttery-yellow, or mint green walls. The bed we have now. =).  Nice big dresser, since the one we brought with us just doesn't cut it. And of course, LuLu's stuff in a corner ;).

12. What position do you sleep in?

In whatever position I can. I sleep with two bed hogs, lol.

13. Who is your favorite vampire of all time?

Dr.Carlisle? Lol.

14. What are you currently wearing on your feet?

Nothing =).

15. Do you have neat handwriting? Show us!

Deff not neat, but it's legible! Lol.

Summer Girls

My very bestest friend may be coming to visit this summer, so everyone, please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me! =)).

That is all. =)

Craziness.

A lot has been happening, and I haven't had the chance to blog =(.

Thursday I went to Carlos and Mickey's with one of my best friends here, Le. I met this girl when Will graduated BCT, and was so glad to learn she got stationed here as well. Our outings are hectic, and often long apart =(.
But we had a blast. There was a live band, amazing food, and I got a birthday balloon! (but the stupid El Paso wind stole it =(  ). Then we went over to a small shopping area, where she bought me some birthday candles from Bath & Body Works. To symbolize me turning 21, she picked out the Island Margarita one =).
And I got the cutest tablecloth from Target =)).

Friday we had to run to the PX to get Will cleats for this baseball game on Saturday. Afterwards we decided to grab dinner. I voted Chili's =). We both ordered steaks, and I got to enjoy their World's Freshest Margarita. So entirely yummy. I even had a coupon for a birthday brownie sundae =). Then we came home and watched 127 Hours. Amazing movie. Gotta love James Franco.

Saturday started early. We were suppose to be at the field by 9. Only two team members showed, so they tossed around the ball thinking everyone else would show up soon. Wellll...they didn't. So we wasted our time, money, and gas for this..go figure. =/. Saturday evening we had friends over for Monopoly Streets and some yummy chili. =).

And Sunday was a lazy day. I'm on my menstrual AGAIN. My doctor said this is normal right now, but if next month I continue to have abnormal cycles, she'd run tests. Oh goody =/. Will cooked steak, mac & cheese, and black eyed peas. We played on the PS3, and watched 'Wedding Crashers.'

I got pretty bummed out today when I realized yesterday marked two months. I have to go back in on Tuesday, because as of last week, my levels were still 10. I do not know how. I also have an ultrasound that day, to see if a) my tube is back to normal, and b) if everything is still inflamed. Seriously not looking forward to it. I'd love to be back 100%.  I'm so sick of getting poked and prodded. I AM NOT a guinea pig. I'm a human. And it seriously kills me knowing I'm still enduring everything without a baby in 6 months to hold. I just hold that soft green polka-dotted blanket and cry.

Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an amazing birthday <3. Everyone's wall posts/calls/texts meant the world to me =)).

The day started out with Will already being home from work (lately he's been pulling the graveyard shift). He hung up a banner, got a happy birthday tablecloth, and sprinkled rose petals from our bedroom to the kitchen, where 'breakfast' was served. He sang 'Happy Birthday' to me, and I got to blow out my candles. I got my craving fulfilled. My birthday cake was a white chocolate raspberry truffle Cheesecake Factory cheesecake. Holy wow....soooo yummy. Then I went back to bed and relaxed while he tidied up for me. He then came in with my birthday present. I'm in love. The purse..is gorgeous.

Someone tried ruining my good mood, and failed. Lol.

My mommy and Gamma both sang Happy Birthday to me. I cried. Lol. I miss them so much. =(.

Will then took me to Landry's for my birthday meal. I love it. I always get their seafood penne di mare, with a Coke..no ice, and ranch for my salad. Our waiter was extremely attentive, which made it nice, and he even brought me this amazing vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate syrup =). I got to wear the tube top I posted a picture of the other day, and Will got dressed up in a charcoal oxford =).

Then we came home where I safely enjoyed a Mike's Limeade, and we watched Burlesque. Awesome movie. Red box it =)).

Anyways, there's only 27 minutes left of my birthday, sad face. Hope everyone else had a good day <3.

<3,
the birthday girl

March Madness.

This blog title couldn't be more accurate.

My day started out normally enough, got up, showered, dressed, took care of LuLu, and got ready to accomplish everything on my to-do list. Paid rent, grabbed a few movies, went grocery shopping, picked up lunch. Came home to Will already being off, since he went in at a crazy hour this morning. Came home, watched a movie, and starting dinner. Yummy pasta salad with shrimp. I can't believe in 3 hours I'll be 21. It's not so much the age, it's just the fact I love birthdays. My mommy's present came in the mail, and I was so overwhelmed. Since I was a little girl, I have been asking my mommy to make me a blanket. My momma use to make all sorts of arts and crafts, but never had time since I was born. But!! I finally got one. For my 21st. I love it. Nothing she could have bought in a store would have meant more to me. It's a Cinderella one, and it's perfect. I posted a status yesterday about how I was my Mommy's lil Princess, my Gamma's Pumpkin Pie, and my hubby's Sunshine, and I wouldn't have it any other way. How ironic. =).

However, family drama tried to destroy my evening. But I continue to delete the negative influences in my life. As crappy as that is. And NOTHING will come in between my mother/daughter relationship. =)

3 MORE HOURS!
