I never thought once in high school I'd actually miss it, but I do. For the past two years, I've been totally separated from everyone I grew up with. And it suckss! I was watching Laguna Beach on my DVD, and started texting with my best friend about all the fun we use to have, especially the summer before and during our Senior year. That summer, we (Miranda, Taylor, Kristen, &I ) were ALWAYS together. From the springs, to hanging out at each other's house, to Gainesville, to Cedar Key, almost every other day we were together. We started senior year off right too. The night before, we all went to Chiefland and rode the go-carts, grabbed some food at Pizza Hut, and came back to my house, to eat more junk food. And we made lists, of what we saw the others doing with their lives, and were we wanted to be with our lives. Thank goodness the first day of school is a joke (getting supply lists and syllabus' of that year's work). We cruised up to school to a Fergie song, because we're just that cool. (I sadly didn't have an actual car to drive yet =( ). After school, we went to grab lunch at the local hangout, and planned to go to WalMart to get supplies afterwards. We prolonged the day (it was a Friday anyways) by going to the springs and then crashing at my house (where Brad and Taylor's brother totally got us with Tay's birthday cake). Life was so simple then. We knew who our friends were, and we found our place in the world. I got my car!!!! about 2 weeks after school had started, my 2005 Pontiac Sunfire with less than 30,000 miles on it. Not too shabby Momma and Gamma. ACT's were not a fun thing, esp since me & Tay took them on no sleep (we had an away football game, then we spent the night in the boonies with Rand'r, and had to be up way early since we both forgot calculators, lol), and after them we went to Gainesville to see a movie. I believe that was that was the first time I drove to Gainesville in my car, lol. Fridays we usually ate at Cypress before the games. Dixie vs.Chiefland was my favorite one, obviously. Senior photos, senior Homecoming, our last football game, it all flew by, but we were too busy focused on graduation. I wish I could stop that. Christmas break came and went. I turned 18 in March, and my mom made it a pretty big deal. We had a party that Friday night, cake, pizza, fruit & veggies trays, and my girls spent the night. The next day my mom treated us to a day in the Ville. 2 movies(Fool's Gold and Step Up 2), dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, On the Border, and Build-a-Bear! Spring break came soonafter, which we spent on the water, lol. Season skip day was fun, us 4 went to Cedar Key, after prom dress fittings and my impromptu interview with Winn Dixie (still surprised I got the job since I was in beachwear cover-up, but to be fair, I had no idea when I called asking about my application it'd lead to an interview! ;) ), came home to Taco Bell and some cake we grabbed at Walmart, lol. Prom season came with promises. The year before we all went as friends, this year was date year. I loved loved loved my dress, I felt like Cinderella. I took my best guy friend, Codey, since we had to sign up our dates way early, and I met my boyfriend, now hubby, Will right before prom. But we got all glamed up, went to dinner (it was hard finding a restaurant since we were a party of like, 22) and had a blast at Prom. Afterwards, I came home to Will, and we watched Grey's all night. Lol. I started working soon-after, actually went to work the day we had graduation practice, and was almost late due to it. Graduation was fun. Our party was funner ;). Our parents got together, and we threw a pretty awesome party, along with Sherriah. We each had a color theme, and the decorations matched that. Kristen, Miranda, and Taylor all got cars that weekend, which was exciting for them =).
I miss just texting them, out of the blue, and making plans. Countless sleepovers. We shared pretty much everything. Since graduating, a lot has changed. Miranda, Taylor, and I are still as close, but Kristen..not as much =(. I got closer to many friends though.
Anyways, never wish for things in future, but enjoy the present =).
I love you. I wish we hung out more while you were here :/ I'm thankful for how close we are now though
